Network Solutions Nameservers

Network Solutions assigns each domain a numbered pair of nameservers under worldnic.com, such as ns31.worldnic.com and ns32.worldnic.com. The numbers are assigned when the domain moves to Network Solutions DNS, so copy the pair shown for your domain.

Nameserver pattern (your exact pair is assigned per domain)

  • nsXX.worldnic.com
  • nsYY.worldnic.com

Checked against Network Solutions's own documentation on October 14, 2026. Sources are listed below.

Find the pair assigned to your domain

In your Network Solutions account, open the domain and look under Advanced Tools, Nameservers (DNS).

Check which nameservers a domain uses right now

Your account shows what you configured. The registry shows what the internet actually uses, and the two can differ while a change is in flight. To see the live answer, query the NS records:

dig NS example.com +short

Or run a free DNS scan, which reads the delegation and every record from each authoritative nameserver, and use the DNS propagation checker with the NS record type to watch a change reach resolvers worldwide.

Good to know

  • Advanced DNS settings are only available while the domain uses Network Solutions nameservers.
  • Reverting to the default nameservers also deletes any custom nameservers you added.
  • Moving to Network Solutions nameservers means website and email records hosted elsewhere stop applying.

What breaks when nameservers change

Changing nameservers moves every DNS record for the domain to a new provider at once. The common failures:

  • Email stops arriving because the MX, SPF and DKIM records were not copied to the new provider.
  • The website or a subdomain goes dark because one A or CNAME record was missed.
  • The domain fails to resolve for validating resolvers because an old DNSSEC DS record no longer matches.
  • For a day or two, some resolvers still ask the old provider, so edits made there keep showing up for some users.

DNS Spy checks every record on every authoritative nameserver at least every ten minutes and alerts you the moment one changes or disappears, so a migration mistake shows up before your customers notice. See how DNS monitoring works.

Frequently Asked Questions

Network Solutions nameservers end in worldnic.com, and each domain is assigned a numbered pair such as ns31.worldnic.com and ns32.worldnic.com. The numbers are assigned when the domain moves to Network Solutions DNS, so check the exact pair under Advanced Tools, Nameservers (DNS) for your domain.

Log in, open the Domains tab and choose the domain. On the Domain Overview page go to Advanced Tools, click Manage next to Nameservers (DNS), enter the new pair and click Save. Network Solutions says to allow 24 to 48 hours for the change to take effect everywhere.

The domain goes back to its assigned worldnic.com pair and Network Solutions DNS starts answering again, so records hosted at your other provider stop applying. Reverting also deletes any custom nameservers you had added. Recreate website and email records in Network Solutions Advanced DNS before reverting.
